Turn playback speed into actual watch time

Divide duration by speed
A speed of 1.5× means one and a half seconds of source content play in one second of watching. Divide the total source duration by 1.5. A six-hour playlist then needs four hours of uninterrupted video playback.
The same six-hour playlist takes four hours and 48 minutes at 1.25×, about three hours and 25 minutes and 43 seconds at 1.75×, and three hours at 2×. The comparison in your result is calculated from your own playlist.
Time saved is a separate calculation
Subtract adjusted watching time from source duration. Six hours at 1.5× saves two hours, or one third of the original time. A 50% faster playback setting does not mean 50% less time.
At a slower setting such as 0.75×, watching takes longer. The result labels the difference as time added. Choose a pace suitable for the material and how closely you need to follow it.
Keep the seconds until the end
The calculator adds source seconds first, divides the sum by speed, and rounds the displayed duration once. It does not round each video separately and then add those rounded estimates.
Watching-day estimates use the unrounded adjusted duration. Even a small remaining amount can require part of another watching day, so the day count rounds up.
Try the setting on your result
Use a speed preset or enter a custom value from 0.25× to 4×. Changing the speed updates the current results, their comparison and the daily estimate without requesting the playlist again.
The number is an estimate at that chosen speed. It does not change the playback speed in your YouTube account or guarantee that every player supports the same setting.
