USING THE TOOL

Terms of use.

Updated September 8, 2026. These terms describe the current PlaylistLengths service.

The service

PlaylistLengths provides calculations from accessible YouTube metadata and tools for organizing your own viewing. By using the tool, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. PlaylistLengths uses YouTube API Services; by using this API client, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

Responsible use

Use links you are entitled to access. Do not use the service to bypass account permissions, evade request limits or interfere with other users. Do not submit passwords, API keys or other secrets in playlist or feedback fields.

Estimates and availability

Calculations reflect available durations and the settings you select. Data can be cached, unavailable, changed or incomplete. Watching estimates exclude advertisements, pauses, exercises and other time outside the video content. Request limits and upstream availability can prevent a calculation from completing.

Your source content and exports

Source videos, thumbnails and titles remain associated with their respective creators and rights holders. Displaying metadata or exporting a list does not transfer rights to the underlying media. The tool does not download video or audio, and nothing you do here changes your playlist on YouTube.

Saved data and sharing

Calculations are not stored in your browser after you leave the page. Anyone who receives a settings link can see the source URL, so share only links you are comfortable passing on. You can clear the tool’s browser data using the control described in thePrivacy Policy.

PlaylistLengths is being added

  1. Tap your browser's Share button.
  2. ChooseAdd to Home Screen.
  1. Give Android a few seconds to finish adding PlaylistLengths.
  2. Check both your Home screen and your full app list.
  3. If it is still missing, open your browser menu (⋮), then choose Install app orAdd to Home screen.
  4. Some Android launchers require browser permission to add Home screen shortcuts.

Look for PlaylistLengths in your browser's Apps area, Start menu, or Launchpad. Your operating system decides whether a desktop shortcut is created automatically.
