Understand unavailable videos and different totals
Identify the difference between excluded durations, incomplete loading, changed data and rounding.

Unavailable is different from not loaded
YouTube may return a playlist entry without returning readable video metadata. The calculator keeps the position and marks its duration unavailable. It cannot always tell whether the underlying reason is deletion, visibility or another restriction.
Not loaded means the request did not obtain the required metadata, for example after an upstream interruption. That is incomplete work rather than proof that the video itself is unavailable. A partial result keeps already obtained data visible.
A live stream does not have a final duration
An ongoing broadcast or upcoming premiere is excluded from a finished-watch-time estimate. Once a completed recording is available and its data refreshes, it may have a usable source duration.
A zero or missing duration is not treated as an ordinary, finished zero-second video. The state is shown explicitly so that the counted total remains interpretable.
Compare like with like
When comparing tools, check the playlist ID, original range, speed and fetched time. One tool may have an older cache, include a different segment, or omit unavailable entries from its count.
Different formats can also hide a difference. A display rounded to minutes is less precise than hours, minutes and seconds. Planning adds another rule: keeping whole videos together can create different day counts from a strict daily time budget.
Use the next action that matches the problem
For a failed input, correct the link or try that item again. For a large list, continue the next segment when offered. For a cached result, use its timestamp to understand how current it is.
